How do credits actually burn?
Credits are the unit that gates generation. Longer duration, higher resolution, and video-input modes cost more than a short, low-resolution text-to-video job. On the pricing calculator (Seedance 2.5 · yearly · 480p · 4s · no video input), the page showed about 172 credits per generation on October 19, 2026—useful as a qualitative baseline, not a guarantee for every mode.

For Seedance 2.5 with text or image input (no video input), the credit calculator rates are 43 / 94 / 170 credits per second at 480p / 720p / 1080p. A 10-second clip therefore costs 430 credits at 480p, 940 at 720p, and 1,700 at 1080p. Confirm the estimate in the generator before you submit.
