How do you decide whether a label is repairable?
Assess the surface before the spelling. AI video product label distortion is a candidate for compositing only when the package provides a coherent surface for replacement artwork.
Inspect the opening, midpoint, ending, and every moment when the label turns away or disappears. Compare box corners, bottle width, label seams, and contact with fingers. Ordinary perspective change is acceptable; inconsistent shape change is more concerning. Mark the first frame where the underlying package becomes unreliable.

Adobe's motion-tracking documentation describes perspective corner-pinning for features on a single plane. That supports the flat-surface distinction; it does not promise automatic repair of a curved bottle. What original assets should you collect first?
Collect approved originals; do not guess packaging copy from distorted frames.
- Approved label artwork: the correct version, preferably editable or a sufficiently detailed export, with its intended dimensions and placement.
- Exact spelling: brand, product name, variant, capitalization, punctuation, and line breaks.
- Numbers and units: quantity, volume, concentration, and any other printed figures that appear in the shot.
- Real product references: front and oblique photographs showing the label boundary, seam, material, curvature, and reflection behavior.
- Usable brand materials: assets and fonts you are permitted to use, plus any restrictions on resizing or redrawing.
Keep the original video and intended in/out points. Label artwork cannot establish unseen package geometry.
Why is a fixed-position PNG not a general solution?
Surface text must move and light like part of the object. A stationary overlay can appear to float when the package moves, rotates, or passes behind a hand.
In an external compositor, product label compositing involves more than replacing letters. Match the surface's changing position, scale, and perspective; account for curvature where necessary. Match softness, motion blur, illumination, and material texture. Remove or cover the faulty artwork without leaving duplicate strokes around the replacement.
A correct layer order also matters. Foreground fingers must cover the label, while appropriate highlights or shadows may need to affect the repaired area. Adobe's track-matte documentation explains controlling a layer's visibility with another layer's alpha or luminance. Applying it to hand occlusion is not a guaranteed fix.
A fixed patch may be sufficient for a genuinely stationary, front-facing surface under constant light. Test the whole used segment before relying on that exception.
How would you approach three different label failures?
Treat the following as teaching situations with untested English prompts, not customer projects or successful repairs. None guarantees accurate Seedance 2.5 product labels.
A. A stable front-facing carton changes its brand letters
Diagnosis: the box corners, front-face proportions, and printed border stay consistent, but letters change within that border.
Generation-stage prompt to try:
Front-facing shot of the reference carton resting on a low shelf. Keep the front panel rectangular, its printed border fixed, and the carton at a constant angle. Only a soft background shadow moves. The packaging design remains the same throughout one continuous shot.
External post-production plan: evaluate tracking the stable face, then align approved artwork to it. Cover the corrupted lettering cleanly and match paper texture and softness. Check the border for sliding.
Abandon the patch if the front face buckles, corners migrate independently, or the replacement would need to conceal structural changes.
B. A rotating cylinder distorts both its label and reflections
Diagnosis: inspect the bottle outline separately from the bright reflection. A highlight travels across a surface; it is not automatically a reliable feature attached to that surface. Check the cylinder beneath it.
Generation-stage prompt to try:
The reference bottle makes a small, slow turn and settles with its front label facing the viewer. Its cylindrical body, cap, and label seam retain their shapes. Broad diffuse studio light remains consistent, with a soft reflection moving naturally across the curved surface. The camera stays fixed.
External post-production plan: if geometry holds, assess a curved warp or a suitable 3D surface workflow, with reflection treatment handled separately. Test the most oblique frame first: the label must compress and disappear around the side convincingly. A four-corner flat replacement cannot generally describe that wrap.
Abandon the patch if bottle width pulses, the seam jumps, or reflections and surface details merge into invented geometry. Regenerate with less rotation or film the actual bottle.
C. A hand covers the label, which returns with different text
Diagnosis: compare the package immediately before coverage and immediately after reveal. Check for changed geometry and label position, not just text.
Generation-stage prompt to try:
A hand briefly passes across the reference package and moves away to the right. The package stays stationary with the same front-panel proportions and printed layout. Fingers pass in front without squeezing the box. End with the full label unobstructed under unchanged lighting.
External post-production plan: align replacement artwork through visible intervals and mask the foreground hand over it. Check the reveal frame by frame; coverage should decrease with the moving fingers. Adobe's mask-tracking guide cautions that rigid tracking works best with a consistent shape. Articulating fingers may require manual mask animation or rotoscoping rather than a rigid mask alone.
Abandon the patch if fingers fuse with the box, the front face reappears at an incompatible angle, or recreating the hidden geometry becomes guesswork. Consider removing the crossing action or using a real handling shot.
How should you accept or reject the finished label?
Judge the exported clip against approved artwork, not the editor preview alone. This label-specific table complements the site's broader product-video QA checklist.

Use OCR only as an auxiliary flag for suspicious text. It cannot approve perspective, layer order, or material realism. Pause on questionable frames and compare them manually; missed OCR detections are not proof of correctness.

Can 4K correct a misspelled label?
No. More pixels do not establish the correct spelling. A sharper wrong letter remains wrong; replace the artwork or obtain a more faithful shot.
Can a prompt guarantee exact package text?
No. A preservation instruction communicates intent, not a frame-by-frame accuracy guarantee. Verify the actual output against the approved label.
Can I directly cover a curved label?
Only assess that shortcut for a narrow, nearly frontal area with little motion. Rotation, curvature, and changing reflections usually require more than a flat overlay.
When should I switch to real footage?
Switch when exact packaging is essential and neither regeneration nor a bounded composite can maintain its appearance throughout the shot. Use a real recording or approved still.
